Oakland Coliseum Vaccination POD
On February 3, Governor Newsom announced that the State of California will partner with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to launch a mega Point-of-Dispensing (POD) pilot vaccination site at the Oakland Coliseum. The mega POD is scheduled to open on February 16, with additional details to be provided in the coming days.

This week, Alameda County also announced that we are moving into Phase 1b Tier 1 of the state's vaccine prioritization framework the week of February 8. This includes people aged 65+ and essential workers in food & agriculture, emergency services, and education & childcare sectors. This tier encompasses roughly 325,000 additional Alameda County residents.

Find out if it is your turn to receive a vaccination or sign up for notifications at: https://myturn.ca.gov/.

Planning & Building Department Launches Enhanced Permit Portal Services
The City’s Planning & Building Department recently launched an enhanced online permit portal offering users more choices among application types and services. In this major overhaul of the system, the department has increased the types of permits customers may apply for online, streamlined the web-site appearance for more clarity, and expanded access to key services. Collectively, these updates help to create a more comprehensive way for the community to submit applications for services 24 hours a day, seven days a week at the applicant’s convenience.
